ABOUT THE ROLE

As our UNLOCKED intern, you’ll join our agency in Edinburgh to take on a dual role as a Creative and Content Creator.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop as a creative (whether you have an interest in copywriting, art direction, design, photography or videography), working on big campaigns, all while developing your skills in content creation and planning, social strategy, and helping our clients - and the Union Group - stay culturally relevant.

If you’re chosen as our intern, we’ll do a welcome call with you before you start to chat through what you’re hoping to get out of your internship with us, so we can tailor your experience and help you get your big break in the creative industries.

Expected Mon – Fri 9am – 5.30pm, but flexibility around existing commitments considered. Hybrid, three days mandatory in the office.

DAY IN THE LIFE OF AT UNION GROUP

A typical day could look something like this…

👨‍💻 Start your morning with a briefing from Strategy and Accounts on a new project for VisitScotland

💬 Chat with the Creative team to work together and brainstorm ideas to solve the brief

🔍 Scroll through TikTok to find the latest trends for Bank of Scotland (yes, this can be your job!)

✏️ Work with the Social team to write a brief for our latest influencer campaign for ScottishPower

🍎 Lunchtime walk through the Botanics with your choice of Lannan pastry

🎨 Get creative and present your initial VisitScotland ideas back to our Creative Director, take on their feedback and develop your work

🔁 Come back tomorrow, and do something completely different!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

During the interview stages, we will ask you to take a current social media trend and turn it into a video about why you’d be the perfect fit for our internship.

We may choose to do a group interview.
