ABOUT THE ROLE
As our UNLOCKED Intern, you’ll join The Heard team and get a first-hand look at how a busy creative communications agency works.
You’ll support the team across the everyday tasks that keep projects moving and help great work happen. That could mean researching ideas, helping prepare materials for a project, suggesting content for social media calendars, supporting the team with admin, or lending a hand with events and activations.
You’ll be working alongside the team on real projects, building an understanding of how client work comes together and developing practical skills along the way. There’ll be plenty to learn, from how ideas are developed and projects are organised to how teams collaborate to deliver work for clients.
We’re looking for someone who is organised, curious and happy to get involved. You’ll be comfortable taking on small but important tasks and sharing your ideas when you have them.
You don’t need previous agency experience. Come ready to learn, contribute and make the most of being part of the team.
DAY IN THE LIFE AT THE HEARD
You’ll get involved in the real, everyday work of a creative communications agency, supporting the team while learning how ideas become campaigns.
You could start the day by reading the papers and scrolling through social feeds to spot the stories, conversations, and cultural trends that are getting people talking. From there, you might help brainstorm ideas for a client, have a go at writing the opening paragraph of a press release, or draft captions for The Heard’s own social channels.
You’ll also get involved in the practical side of bringing campaigns to life - from sending out client products to carefully packing creative mailers ready to land in the hands of journalists, influencers and creators.
It’s a mix of thinking, writing, making and doing - giving you a genuine introduction to the different ingredients that go into creative communications.
KEY QUALITIES
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity and creativity to the team. You don’t need previous agency experience, but you should be interested in brands, marketing and culture, and excited to learn more about how creative communications works.
You’ll be someone who:

Is interested in brands and marketing - you’re curious about why some brands connect with people and how creative ideas can help them stand out.
